PRP Therapy

Platelet rich plasma therapy reverses hair loss
Platelet rich plasma (PRP) therapy is a very effective method of preventing hair loss and increasing the thickness of existing hair. It is a simple procedure where in 10 ml of patient’s own blood is withdrawn and centrifuged to obtain high concentration of platelets from it which are activated prior to application. This activated Platelet Rich Plasma when injected in the skin of scalp, releases growth factors which can cause growth of the hair follicles by stimulating the stem cells located in the Dermal Papilla as well as other structures of the hair follicle.
PRP is completely safe, non allergen, non toxic, without side effects and presents satisfactory results for patients who have early stages of thinning of hair over scalp and who are either not fit candidates for transplantation or those who are reluctant to go in for hair transplant.
